This year’s Chatter Bug year end production, Echoes of Culture, invites families on a heartwarming journey across traditions, foods, celebrations, and stories from around the world. Instead of stepping into the world of fairytales as they did last year, our young speakers now step proudly into the world of heritage, discovering what makes each culture unique, beautiful, and worth sharing. From traditional attire and favourite foods to festive customs and special family rituals, the children bring these cultural echoes to life through expressive storytelling and confident public speaking.
Throughout the year, our Chatter Bug students have learned to use their voices not just to speak, but to connect. Guided by our structured curriculum, including elements like Strike a Pose, Speak Up, and Hot Seat, the children practised tone, volume, gestures, and eye contact, gradually growing into expressive young presenters. In Echoes of Culture, these skills shine as they introduce themselves, describe their clothing, and share the customs that shape their identities.
What makes this year’s production especially meaningful is how culture becomes a bridge connecting children to their families, their heritage, and to one another. Through Echoes of Culture, they discover that every home has a story, every country has a flavour, and every tradition carries love across generations. Their voices echo not just cultural facts, but the warmth of lived experiences such as grandma’s stories, festive outfits, shared meals, laughter, celebrations, and memories.
